Patent Counseling
Scott has twenty years of experience in patent law. He has prosecuted hundreds of patents, orally argued patent appeals, and briefed the United States Supreme Court. Scott holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University, a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University, and a Juris Doctor from the Franklin Pierce Law Center. He is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and is a member of the North Carolina and Michigan Bars. Scott is also a member of the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Before his legal career, Scott worked for several years as a chassis engineer for a division of General Motors.
