Patent Preparation and Prosecution
Scott has twenty years experience in patent law. He has prosecuted hundreds of patents, orally argued patent appeals, and briefed the United States Supreme Court. Scott holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University, a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University, and a Juris Doctor from the Franklin Pierce Law Center. He is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and is a member of the North Carolina and Michigan Bars. Scott is also a member of the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Prior to his legal career, Scott worked for several years as a chassis engineer for a division of General Motors.
